Instructions that arrive ready to work on.

For lawyers and barristers. When a claim needs legal advice in your jurisdiction, handlers on MarinAtlas find you by the law you practise and the claims you have handled. The claim file comes with the instruction.

How work reaches you.

  1. 01One profileYour jurisdictions, the kinds of claim you handle and your rates. Handlers see your rates next to your name.
  2. 02A request in your jurisdictionYou get an anonymised brief first: claim type, area, what is needed. You confirm you have no conflict and send a bid.
  3. 03InstructedThe confidential details open: parties, documents and the handler's instructions for your part of the claim.

The opinion starts from the file, not from a blank page.

MarinAtlas drafts your opinion from the claim documents. You edit it, sign it and submit it.

Drafted from the file
The documents and notes on the claim. Nothing else.
Gaps are marked, not invented
Where the file is silent the draft says [to be confirmed] and leaves it to you.
One section at a time
Ask Atlas to rewrite a section, or to find what a document says about a point.
Signed, then approved
The handler sees the opinion only when you submit it. They approve it and rate it.

What you can count on.

You see the brief before you commit
Requests are anonymised. Vessel, parties and documents open only when you are appointed.
Your working notes stay yours
A handler sees a report when you submit it, not while you are drafting it.
Fees stay in their own currency
A fee is kept in the currency it was quoted in. Bids are never converted or compared across currencies.
A cancelled job is not a free job
If a handler cancels a job you have started, you can request a cancellation fee within 14 days.

Ask for an invite.
